You are the villain, and the gems are yours
Cursed Treasure 2 is a tower defense game from IriySoft, the sequel to their 2010 Flash game Cursed Treasure. It flips the usual setup: the heroes are the enemy. Waves of them march in to steal the gems from your treasure, and you build towers along their path to stop them. If they carry off every gem, the level is lost.
Three towers, three kinds of evil
Orc Den shoots arrows. It is the straightforward damage tower.
Undead Crypt chills and frightens heroes rather than simply hitting them.
Demon Temple burns them with fire.
Towers gain experience as they fight and upgrade into stronger forms once they have earned enough. Building and upgrading cost gold; your spells cost mana.
Spells, drops and the Evilopedia
You have two spells. Meteor strikes an area. Terror scares heroes in range and drives them back. Fallen heroes sometimes drop mana or magic scrolls, such as Polymorph, which turns enemies into chickens, and Stasis, which holds them in place.
Not every hero reacts the same way. Paladins shrug off most magic, and Templars cannot be frightened, so Terror is wasted on them. The in-game Evilopedia describes each enemy, so it is worth checking when a new one shows up.
Skills and tips
Progress earns skill points for the orc, undead and demon skill trees. You can take points back and spend them again, so there is no wrong build. If a level is beating you, change your skills to suit it.
Maps also have gold mines. Capture one early, because a mine taken sooner earns gold for longer.
Each level can also be replayed in a harder night mode.
