Long Neck Run

arcade

A stickman, a growing neck, and the right colour

Long Neck Run is a 3D runner. Your stickman runs forward on his own; you steer him left and right into rings on the track. Grab the rings of the right colour and his neck grows longer — that is the whole idea, and the reason the game looks the way it does.

Controls

Move left and right with the mouse, or swipe with a finger on a phone. You do not control speed or jumping: the only decision is which lane to be in.

Reading the track

Rings come in rows of different colours, so each stretch is a small choice about which line to follow. Look one row ahead and pick the run of rings that matches your colour.

Commit early

Most wrong rings come from a late swerve: you see the right line too late, cut across the track, and collect the wrong colours on the way over. Choose the lane before you reach the row and slide into it early; small, early moves beat big, late ones.

Facts on this page were cross-checked between the game's own description, its GamePix page and Lagged.

Frequently asked questions

Your stickman runs forward on his own. Steer left and right into rings of the right colour to make his neck grow longer.
What are the controls?
Move with the mouse, or swipe with a finger on a phone. You only choose your lane; running is automatic.
Why do I keep picking up the wrong rings?
Usually from swerving late across the track. Look one row ahead, choose the line of rings that matches your colour, and move into it early.
Is Long Neck Run free?
Yes. You play it here in the browser through our licensed game feed, with nothing to download.
What do the rings do?
Rings of the right colour make your stickman's neck grow longer and keep his speed up, which is why picking the right line matters more than anything else.
