TenTrix

puzzle

Tetris pieces with no gravity and no rotation

TenTrix puts block shapes on a 10×10 board. Nothing falls: you pick up a piece and place it wherever it fits. Fill a complete row or a complete column and it clears. The catch is in the rules you do not get — pieces cannot be rotated.

Controls

Drag a piece with the left mouse button, or with your finger on a phone, from the tray below the board onto the grid.

How a game ends

There is no timer. The game ends when you have a piece to place and nowhere it fits. So every move is really about the next three pieces, not this one.

Keeping the board alive

Because you cannot rotate, the long straight pieces are the dangerous ones: keep a full-length row and a full-length column open somewhere so a long straight piece always has a home. Clear lines as you go instead of building up for a big combo, and avoid leaving single empty squares surrounded by blocks — only the smallest piece can ever fill them.

Facts on this page come from the game's own description and its CrazyGames listing, which credits GamePix as the developer. The strategy is our reading of those rules.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play TenTrix?
Drag block shapes onto a 10×10 board. Fill a complete row or column and it clears. Nothing falls, so you place each piece wherever it fits.
Can I rotate the pieces?
No. Pieces go on the board the way they come, which is what makes the game harder than it looks.
When does the game end?
When you have a piece to place and there is no space on the board where it fits. There is no timer.
What is the best strategy?
Keep a full row and a full column open so long pieces always have a home, clear lines as you go, and avoid leaving single empty squares that only the smallest piece can fill.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Drag pieces with your finger. It suits a tall screen, and there is nothing to download.
